​​Beyond Veneer opened in 2016 with a mission that began in the heart of our founder, Capri Perez, 10 years prior. Having started as a licensed makeup artist, Capri always valued going deeper with clients than what service she was providing. That meant caring more about the stresses contributing to the client’s face health, proper skin care, and overall nutrition and health. As her time went on in the beauty industry, she fell in love with hair and the rest is history!
The mission of Beyond Veneer is to provide exceptional service and build a partnership with every one of our clients in their healthy hair journey: whatever that looks like for you! We want to hear your stories, about your life, your dreams, what’s stressing you out, all of it. This allows us to build trust and also build a hair plan that fits your lifestyle. about our founder, capri
My name is Cherina "Capri" Perez but in the hair world, I go by Capri! I come from a family of entrepreneurs and dreamers. I grew up spending time at my aunt’s hair salon where she served primarily African American hair (which, at the time, wasn’t commonly given the opportunity to try color).
So at 19, I started my career at the leading color salon in the Bay Area. I have completed a master level certification with Goldwell, Schwarzkopf, and Redken. All of my passions and education have led me in the last 7 years to build a teaching salon: a place where up and coming, incredibly talented stylists can learn in real time how to give excellent service while taking beauty beyond the veneer.
I am a mother of three kids, married to the love of my life, Dante, and love cooking (if I ever quit the beauty industry, it will DEFINITELY be because I opened a restaurant instead!). Although I am outgoing, I am actually an introvert and love my quiet time! I personally struggle with hair loss (especially after having my kids). It’s made enjoying the healthy hair journey difficult at times. That’s why having the community at Beyond Veneer is so important to me. It’s not just for the clients: it’s for me, too! We get to embrace the journey together, cheering each other on at every step.

Madelyn
LEVEL 3 STYLIST
Madelyn is a state board certified stylist with training in extensions and balayage. She joined the beauty world after developing her love for hair and make up in Theater. Her goal is to make everyone that is in her chair embrace the way they want to look regardless of what others think! She is also fluent in ASL! Follow her on Instagram at @madelyn_beyondveneer.
Beverly
LEVEL 2 STYLIST
Beverly is a graduate of The Salon Professional Academy. Best part? She has been working specifically with Redken products over the last two years and brings in an innovative perspective to our salon. Her favorite part about doing hair is the creative freedom it gives her. On her days off she loves to go camping and hiking to explore the Great Outdoors! Camila is a graduate of The Salon Professional Academy. Best part? She has been working specifically with Redken products over the last year and brings in an innovative perspective to our salon. Shelly recently graduated from The Salon Professional Academy. She is in our12 month training program here at Beyond Veneer Salon.
